Patriots Reveal Custom Cleats For 2021 ‘My Cause My Cleats’ Campaign

The New England Patriots will wear custom cleats in their Week 13 game to support the 2021 “My Cause My Cleats” campaign. The NFL celebrates the annual “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign as part of the commitment to supporting causes important to many players. This campaign is a collaboration between the NFL and players and it raises both awareness and money for charitable organizations. Players get to choose their charitable organization.

For this campaign, players wear custom cleats representing the cause they support. Of course, their shoes are auctioned off on the NFL website to raise the needed money.

NFL players often choose Special Olympics. Baker Mayfield, Michael Gallup, and many others represented Special Olympics.

Players and coaches in the NFL has a chance to promote their cause and some of them get really creative. This will be the sixth consecutive campaign and fans are really excited.

Last year, former Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore wore special footwear. He supported the Gilmore Family Foundation with cleats designed by Soles By Sir. His cleats featured drawings by Gilmore’s son Sebastian. The former Defensive Player of the Year typed a letter following the shooting of George Floyd. Gilmore addressed the letter to his son, encouraging him to understand his words.

Gilmore has been involved in many protests and he used this opportunity to deliver a message. He appeared in the 70-second video released in June of 2020. This particular video urged the league to condemn racism and admit that shutting down pre-game protests was a bad move.

Patriots players will try to do the same this year. They all chose to support a cause. This world needs more people like these guys. A lot of people needs someone to stand for them. NFL players are dong a really good job. They speak in the name of the less fortunate. A lot of Americans will wake up happier just because NFL players decided to help them. This is one of the best initiatives the NFL has ever seen.
