Seven Things Patriots Have To Be Thankful For On Thanksgiving 2021

The New England Patriots have a 7-4 record at this point of the regular season and they have seven thinks to be grateful for on Thanksgiving 2021. Rookie quarterback Mac Jones is definitely one of them.

Great quarterback

The Patriots selected Jones in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. There were several quarterback options for the Patriots in the offseason, and Cam Newton was one of them. Jones earned the trust of his teammates and they all love him. He is definitely a favorite!

Defense

The Patriots defense is impressive this season. Defensive players did a good job in the last few seasons but they do wonders in 2021. The defense is allowing 16.1 points which is league-low. Only three teams hit more than 20 points against the Patriots defense and just one team did 25.

Matthew Judon

The anti-mac ‘n cheese guy is a special guy for the Patriots. Getting him was a good decision. The Patriots offered Judon a four-year deal worth $54.5 million.

Secondary

The Patriots lead the league in interceptions and interception rate. Jonathan Jones and Stephon Gilmore aren’t around to help the team, but J.C. Jackson is definitely a good alternative. The Patriots should consider giving him a good deal this spring. Devin McCourty, Kyle Dugger, and Andrew Phillips have key roles, too.

Red-zone weapon

Veteran tight end Hunter Henry joined the Patriots in the offseason. He has seven touchdown catches in eight years with the Patriots. Henry has built good connection with Jones and their chemistry is of great help for the Patriots.

Rookies

Belichick got a lot of players in the draft. Jones was his most valuable selection and the same goes to Rhamondre Stevenson and Christian Barmore. New England didn’t have much luck in the draft in the last few seasons, but they did a good job this time.

A wide-open AFC

The Patriots dominate the AFC East and the Buffalo Bills are no longer the top team. New England is close to the playoffs this time. The best news? They can take over the AFC by beating the Titans. The Ravens have to lose their game as well.
