Jerod Mayo Preaches This Mantra To Members Of Patriots’ Defense

The New England Patriots have an 8-4 record at this point of the regular season. Many would agree that they are the best team in the AFC right now. We’d add a bit more to this. Head coach Bill Belichick is working with an excellent group of players this season and it shows. He relies his team on a strong defense. New England has an exceptional defense and he really likes when the offense is doing its job. That’s how Belichick does things. Patriots’ Jerod Mayo preaches his mantra to defensive players and Devin McCourty revealed more details about it.

Mayo is trying really hard to get the best of his players. He wants everyone to succeed and do their job on the field. His group is really good and there’s no room for panic right now.

Jerod Mayo preaches mantra for the win of the defense

McCourty talked about this and a lot more in his conversation with Albert Breer from Sports Illustrated.

“Mayo said it today: Everyone play like a star,” McCourty told Breer. “If you’re a role player, be a star in your role. If you’re a star, be a star out there. And I think that’s what this team is built for. Not just offense and defense or special teams. It’s a combination of all those things that come together, and everyone’s fulfilling that role. And when we complement each other, we know we can be a good team and be a tough team to beat. But it always comes down to doing that day in and day out, and then obviously on Sunday.”

New England has a few games remaining and they have a really good chance to make the playoffs this season. Oh wait… They have a chance to do much more than that. They can win the Super Bowl.

The Buffalo Bills are next on the list. Patriots players have a six-game winning streak. Will they beat their next opponent? This is one of the most important games of the regular season. Jones is getting ready for a really big challenge.
