Patriots Land Stud Defensive Tackle In NFL Insider’s Latest Mock Draft

The New England Patriots should make a move to fix the damage and improve every aspect of the game. Head coach Bill Belichick will keep Mac Jones on the roster because the rookie was brilliant in his first season with the team. He is a nice building block for the Patriots and Belichick should build his team around the first-rounder. How will the Patriots handle the offseason? Who is the first player to join the team? The Patriots will get a defensive tackle as suggested by a mock draft.

Daniel Jeremiah from NFL Media believes that the Patriots will get defensive tackle Jordan Davis with the No.21 overall in the upcoming draft.

“The Patriots love big guys with unique strength/power,” Jeremiah wrote. “Think back to Vince Wilfork. Davis would team up with Christian Barmore to dominate against the run and provide some pocket push against the pass.”

Patriots to get a good player in this mock draft

Davis has shown great results during his time on the football field. He is one of the best prospects in his position and the Patriots shouldn’t miss the chance to get him. Davis has incredible frame and nice skillset. In his senior season, Davis recorded 32 tackles, 5 ½ tackles for loss, two sacks, and 14 quarterback hits.

There’s more. Jeremiah says the Patriots should take Davis rather than going for Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave and Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean. Both players were linked to the Patriots on so many occasions. Belichick needs strong weapons in 2022.

The Patriots missed the chance to make the Super Bowl this season. Belichick wouldn’t like to go through the same thing over again.
