Frank Vogel Reacts To The Swirling LeBron James Rumors

The Los Angeles Lakers have been making some crazy headlines these days. LeBron James mentioned a few executives during the All-Star Weekend and many thought it was the first sign of the cold war between the four-time NBA champion and the front office. Several reports mentioned Rich Paul and Klutch Sports, but LeBron’s agent denied each and every allegation. LeBron also talked about his final season in the NBA, suggesting that he’d love to play with his son. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel heard every story related to LeBron, so he decided to address these rumors.

If you ask Vogel, he will stay that outside noise has nothing on him. Several reporters asked Vogel about the rumors, and his response was… expected.

Frank Vogel ignores LeBron rumors

“I learned to let the noise be noise,” Vogel said. “… I enjoyed the break with my family. That’s just noise.”

I guess these rumors are related to the Rob Pelinka’s decision to stay quiet at the trade deadline. Some say LeBron didn’t like the fact that Pelinka didn’t trade Russell Westbrook for John Wall. The latter is a Klutch Sports client. Rob Pelinka didn’t want to give up on a first-rounder and turned down the offer.

Bill Oram of The Athletic released a report on LeBron’s dominance in the franchise. He compared him to Kobe Bryant, suggesting that LeBron has greater power than Kobe ever had with the team.

“But for as important as Bryant was to the Lakers, sources inside the organization have long said that not even the legendary Black Mamba wielded as much power within the organization as James now has.

“Bryant was never able to strong-arm the Lakers to make a move like the one James helped orchestrate for [Russell] Westbrook, which has proven to be an outright disaster.”

Vogel, LeBron, and Pelinka plan to ignore rumors. They have a more important thing to do at the moment. Lakers players lost many games this season and things don’t look really good for the franchise. Will this force LeBron to request a trade?
