Skip Bayless Has Blockbuster Trade Suggestion For Lakers

Russell Westbrook is in the news again. The talented veteran struggles more than usual and the Los Angeles Lakers have been advised to get rid of him. Some fans even asked him to stop shooting. Lakers fans are pretty frustrated right now. Skip Bayless has been watching the situation unfold and he believes that one trade move could save the season for the Lakers.

“You’re stuck with Westbrook, but have one safety valve and that’s in Houston,” Bayless said. “John Wall, reportedly, is available. [The Lakers] have to throw in their, what, 2027 first round draft choice? It’s ridiculously far out there, so just throw it in. Take his money because he is way less of a liability than Russell Westbrook.”

Skip Bayless makes a familiar trade proposal for the Lakers

This is an old topic. Several analysts share the same opinion. Westbrook is not a good fit for the Lakers despite his great talent. The Houston Rockets are probably the only team to make an offer for him. Of course, they won’t do this because they like him. They don’t like Wall either. Getting Westbrook would help them get rid of Wall. Broddie can go wherever he wants in free agency. Everyone wins, right?

Well, Rob Pelinka may not be interested in trading someone who joined his team a few months ago. The Lakers will probably keep Westbrook on their roster throughout the entire season. He is a talented player and maybe he just needs more time to fit in.

The Lakers have a 26-28 record and both LeBron James and Anthony Davis are on the floor. Someone is making a mistake and the front office has to act fast and solve the problem, otherwise they will lose the season.

Lakers players are not fans of the wild-card game, but this may be an inevitable part of their schedule. They don’t have much choice at this point. The front office can offer Kendrick Nunn, Trevor Ariza, Talen Horton-Tucker and a few picks at the moment. Trading Broddie is quite a challenge. He has a huge deal, remember?
