LeBron James Breaks Silence After Season-Ending Injury Decision

The Los Angeles Lakers have ruled LeBron James out for the season. The four-time NBA champion was dealing with an ankle injury, but returned to the floor to help the team win games. The Lakers are officially out of playoff contention and they didn’t want to re-aggravate LeBron’s injury. They are resting him now that the team is outside the playoff picture. LeBron had an expected reaction to the latest decision. Well, this wasn’t actually a reaction.

Right after the team confirmed the decision, LeBron took to his Twitter account to push “The Shop” and announce Gunna’s appearance on his show.

LeBron finished the regular season with great stats. He even led the league in points per game. Well, this didn’t help the Lakers win a title. His teammates should’ve tried harder.

LeBron James shared this injury update long ago

I guess LeBron’s April Fools’ joke wasn’t actually a joke. He literally told us that he would sit out the rest of the season.

King James has missed 26 games this season. Anthony Davis missed a big chunk of the regular season and his absence was a major factor for the loss.

“I think us three — us three being me, Bron and Russ — we played 15, 21 games together?” Davis said. “We didn’t expect us to only have 21 games together. But it’s just kind of been that year. Either I’m in or he’s in. And the times we do play together, we look really good and then somebody’s out of the lineup. It’s just kind of been that year. It’s been tough not being able to fully reach our potential as far as us three being on the floor and seeing what we really could be.”

Let’s see what happens next season. The Lakers will use the offseason to fix their roster. They may get rid of several players, including Russell Westbrook. Some Lakers fans would love to see him out of LA. Well, Russ likes the team and he sees himself as a Laker in the future.
