Patriots Wideout Shares First Impression Of Mac Jones

The New England Patriots will enter the new season with a few new names on the roster. DeVante Parker is one of the new guys on Bill Belichick’s 2022 roster. He joined the team through a trade and many would agree that he is a good fit for the team. The newly-signed wideout shared his first impression of Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.

Jones is a first round pick for the Patriots. He had a decent rookie campaign with the team, leading the Patriots to a seven-game winning streak. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough and the Patriots lost the wild-card game to the Buffalo Bills. Jones and his teammates are entering a really important season and Parker will try his best to fit in the system.

New WR has great impression of Mac Jones

Parker joined the Patriots for the early spring workouts. During his session with the media, Parker said Jones has a “nice arm”. We couldn’t agree more.

“He’s got a nice arm on him. A little zip,” Parker told reporters after the workout. “He throws a catchable ball. It’s something I’m looking forward to in the season.”

Jones has a great future with the Patriots and he really has to prove doubters wrong. In 2021, Jones completed 67.7 percent of his passes for 3,801 yards and 22 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.

Team owner Robert Craft would love to see more from the Alabama prospect. In other words, everyone will be watching Jones in 2022.

“This year will be very telling,” Kraft said, via Jeff Howe of TheAthletic.com. “To come into something as new as this, as established, I think he got beat up pretty bad, and he kept coming back and getting up and really doing some great stuff. Just the way he handles himself, he took some real beatings and hopped up. He has developed a good relationship with the whole cadre of receivers. I’m very happy with what I’ve seen. But this is a big year, the second year.”

Let’s see what happens in 2022. It’s an important season for every Patriots player.
