The Los Angeles Lakers decided to trust Matt Ryan and fans are super excited about his addition. Ryan spent his offseason with the Boston Celtics and now he has earned a spot on the Lakers roster. Ryan’s preseason was great and this was more than enough to catch the attention of Rob Pelinka. Shams Charania was among the first to confirm the decision.

“Lakers’ G/F Matt Ryan has made the team’s current opening night roster, as the team won’t waive him by today’s roster cut deadline, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Charania tweeted. “Ryan shot 37.5 percent from 3-point land in preseason – including a 20-point performance with six 3s last Sunday.”

Ryan is more than excited about his time with the Lakers. He may not get another opportunity in his life and yes, the young player will try his best to help the Lakers win.

Matt Ryan to earn the trust of Lakers fans

The Celtics had a chance to work with Ryan and his performance in the Las Vegas Summer League tournament made headlines for a really long time. Unfortunately, Ryan sustained an injury and didn’t earn a spot on the Celtics roster.

The Lakers struggled with their shooting and adding Ryan seems to be a great decision for the team. He is expected to add some floor spacing of the bench. Yes, Ryan may not have a key role with the Lakers, but he can make things easier for everyone.

It may seem difficult, but the Lakers will sort things out at the end. Head coach Darvin Ham uses Russell Westbrook from the bench and may continue with this plan. Lakers superstar Anthony Davis believes that his team can win a title again. Will Ryan be part of the championship team?
