Former Teammate Issues Strong Statement On Lakers’ LeBron James

LeBron James has been a dominant force for years, but one former teammate says NBA players don’t fear the four-time NBA champion.

Mario Chalmers and LeBron won two championships with the Miami Heat. Chalmers had a chance to see the king of basketball in action. He had a chance to play with the greatest of all time. Well, Chalmers shocked the NBA world with his most recent comments.

“Nobody fears Bron,” Chalmers said. “Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why because I seen people be scared when they actually line up to him, but they’re not scared thinking about that matchup.”

Did Chalmers just put an end to LeBron’s dominance? Are these comments even relevant? King James may be out of the game due to injury, but he was brilliant early in the season. He was brilliant last season, too. LeBron could’ve won the MVP award, but the Lakers were eliminated from the playoff run. His stats are crazy and age has nothing on him. LeBron is a 38-year-old who averages 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game while doing 50.1% from the field and 30.8% from deep. Why would opponents take him for granted? He’s done more than any other player in the NBA. LeBron earned the respect from other NBA players and no one should ever disrespect him.

LeBron relies on each and every teammate

The Lakers are in and out of the race this season. They are doing a good job on the floor, beating strong teams in their conference. Austin Reaves is a pleasant surprise and he showed his dominant side in the win over the Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic. Even LeBron praised his game.

Darvin Ham needs his players on the floor. LeBron may not return to the game this season, but he won’t give up without a fight. We wouldn’t rule him out. He is LeBron James.

The Lakers front office trusts LeBron and they may even trade big picks to get players who pair well with him. Jeanie Buss signed him for a reason!
