Lakers’ LeBron James Drops Strong Statement After Hitting Game-Winner Vs. Jazz

LeBron James hit the game-winner once again. The Los Angeles Lakers celebrated another win and made another step towards the play-in tournament. The Utah Jazz didn’t have much luck against the purple and gold, but can get their revenge at the end of the season.

LeBron finished the game with 37 points, five rebounds, and six assists while going 14-of-27 from the field. He missed a left-handed layup, but fixed the damage with 27.1 seconds left on the clock.

“What I saw I had a nice clear lane to the right side and (Ochai) Agbaji kind of bodied me a little bit, which gave me an opportunity to counter that move by spinning off his body and finishing over DJ (Damian Jones),” LeBron said. “So definitely had to make up for blowing that layup at the end of regulation. I had a really good look. We set up a good play and I just left it a little short.”

LeBron has to hit another game-winner

LeBron returned from his right foot injury earlier than expected and even played some extra time against the Jazz.

“The extra five minutes definitely didn’t help,” LeBron said. “It definitely didn’t help, but we needed to get the win. … How my foot feels when I wake up and I step out of bed. That’s been the most important since I’ve injured it five weeks ago. The next day after either rehab or training or treatment, whatever. It’s always that.”

LeBron is averaging 28.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 52 starts with the Lakers while shooting 50.0% from the floor, 30.3% from beyond the arc, and 88.0% from the free-throw line. He missed time due to injuries, but this didn’t stop him from putting crazy numbers every time he takes the floor.

The Lakers rank seventh in the Western Conference and have a golden chance to compete for a title. Every player has contributed to the current record. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura have become pleasant surprise for the Lakers fanbase. These two are winners!
