Lakers Rookie Offers Apology To LeBron James After Viral Quote

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Jalen Hood-Schifino didn’t think twice before making some uncomfortable comments about LeBron James and now he is offering an apology.

The Lakers selected the talented player in the first round of the draft and he had his first session with the media. One of the questions was related to a graphic showing that he was seven days old when the Cleveland Cavaliers selected LeBron. His response was pretty awkward.

How will LeBron react to this?

LeBron is 38 but age has nothing on him. He built strong career and his reputation as the king of basketball is more secure than ever. It seems like a lot of people were unhappy with the comments the Lakers rookie made, so he offered his apology.

“I would never disrespect LeBron,” Hood-Schifino wrote in an Instagram story. “He’s one of the best players to ever play this game and I’m blessed to be able to play along side him! If anything I’m giving him praise for what he’s doing at his age.”

Unlike Dillon Brooks, the Lakers rookie didn’t mean to insult LeBron

The Memphis Grizzlies guard tried to get under LeBron’s skin by saying he is old. They even got into an altercation, but LeBron taught him a lesson.

“I don’t care. He’s old,” Brooks said of LeBron. “He wanted to say something after I got my fourth foul, he should have been saying that earlier on. I poke bears. I don’t respect anyone until they come and give me 40.”

The four-time NBA champion had an expected response. He knows he is the king of basketball. Why would Brooks’ words insult him?

“Unlike you little [expletive] I’m a grown a** man. Big shoes to fill [expletive], grown a** pants. Prolly hustled with your pops, go ask your parents,” The Lakers superstar tweeted. “It’s apparent you’re staring at a legend. Who, put a few little [expletive] in they place before. Trying to eat without saying they grace before!”
