Patriots Named A Potential Landing Spot For ‘Epic’ Pair Of Playmakers

The New England Patriots made huge headlines with DeAndre Hopkins’ visit last Thursday and things got even better for the team. According to NFL experts, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick could create a really strong roster by adding two playmakers to the team. Hopkins and Dalvin Cook.

Cook is a free agent at the moment and he’d really love to share the floor with Hopkins. He spoke about it on “The Adam Schefter Podcast,” triggering an avalanche of comments.

“If we end up on the same roster, that would be something epic for the NFL,” Cook told Schefter.

Yes, the Patriots seem to be an ideal destination for both players. Adding these two could put the team back on the top. Cook is not really chasing a big deal. He prefers getting a big, nice ring.

“I want to go win. Like I said, the money gonna come and that’s going to happen,” Cook told Schefter. “But like as far as going to lift that [Vince Lombardi] Trophy up, he got the same mindset as me.”

“I know his mindset, and I done play against D-Hop a numerous amount of times,” Cook said of Hopkins. “When I been with D-Hop, we done chill together, we done been around each other like, and it’s like I kind of see the person that he is like, he want to win and that’s what my mind at to.”

Belichick didn’t make the Super Bowl since Tom Brady’s time with the team. If these two sign with the team, the Patriots will have a chance to become champions again.

Patriots could add two playmakers at once and increase the likelihood to win a title

Cook has nothing but words of praise for Hopkins and he really appreciates his success on the NFL field.

“Everybody knows who D-Hop is,” Cook told Schefter. “You know what you’re getting out of D-Hop, and you know what he going to bring to your roster. It’s the same for me. Like you know — the film speaks for itself — I don’t really got to do too much like, you know, talking about who Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins is.”

In 2022, the running back rushed for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns to go with 39 receptions for 295 yards and two scores. In nine games in 2022, Hopkins had 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns. Both players are taking their time to make a decision.
