Patriots Visit Turned Bad For DeAndre Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins decided to visit the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans following his breakup with the Arizona Cardinals. However, things didn’t work too well for him in New England and this issue has nothing to do with the game.

Hopkins went to a Boston restaurant and ordered seafood during his visit. Well, he got pork, and yes, he didn’t like any of it. For those of you who don’t know, Hopkins doesn’t eat pork.

“I accidentally ate pork for the 1st time in 8 years because I ordered clam chowder in Boston,” Hopkins wrote via social media. “Somebody should’ve told me it’s bacon chowder.”

It was a mistake and Patriots fans tried to fix it. Some of them begged the star wide receiver to sign with the Patriots and someone even shared a photo of Hopkins wearing a Patriots uniform.

“Bill [Belichick] will take care of it for you,” one fan, n_casey2, wrote in the comments.

Hopkins sticks to his dietary plan during Patriots visit

The wide receiver has a contract with Beyond Meat, a brand focused on plant-based diet. According to Hopkins, this diet plan works really well for him.

“It honestly changed my life. It changed my body and my performance,” Hopkins detailed at the company’s website. “These have been the best seasons I’ve ever had. I would say my performance on the field was a direct result of what I did off the field, how I treated my body and what I put in my body – which was primarily Beyond Meat.”

Patriots fans heard this one before. Remember Tom Brady and his avocado ice cream? Brady was pretty strict about his diet. He didn’t eat tomatoes and many other foods. Yes, his TB12 method was pretty rough, but it worked for Brady and his pliability.

Hopkins has high expectations from his next team

When it comes to Hopkins, he has good plans for his future. Will those plans work?

Hopkins will try to get a good deal, but Phil Perry from NBC Sports Boston says he will probably take less than his $54 million deal with the Cardinals.

“I’m just telling you, there ain’t that much money out there,” Perry said. “DeAndre Hopkins is finding this out right now: He still hasn’t signed with anybody because the money isn’t there. Teams haven’t saved up to have as much money as you would need to pay a guy big bucks at this point in the calendar year.”
