Anthony Davis Makes Promise To LeBron James Ahead Of 2023-24 Lakers Season

The Los Angeles Lakers are entering another challenging season. They made the Western Conference Finals last season and they have a big chance to make the big game this season. Motivated by this possibility, Lakers big man Anthony Davis made a big promise to teammate LeBron James.

LeBron and AD will lead the team once again. They won a title together and can definitely win another one.

So, what is the big promise? AD will not leave his teammate on his own. We all hope he stays healthy throughout the entire season. The same goes to LeBron.

“I feel good, team feels good,” said Davis. “We know we were close — try to get No. 18. I’m thankful for the Lakers to commit to me. I owe it to them to put my body on the line every night. It’s very motivational. It was just of talking – Lakers this. Me and Bron had some conversations like, ‘We can’t wait.’

“We had enough to win, but it’s a lot of motivation. All the talking that’s been going on this summer. We still have our core. Now that we have a full camp, we’ll be really good. A lot of teams forgot about [Christian] Wood, he’s prepared. I’m on myself after every game. Hopefully I’ll be in those [MVP] conversations. Helping the guys out, not leaving it all on LeBron.”

Davis will keep his promise to LeBron

The Lakers big man looks good at the moment. Davis feels great and the best is yet to come.

He missed significant time due to injuries and the Lakers suffered terrible losses in his absence. Sources reveal that AD is in an incredible shape and we should see more of his greatness in training camp.

The front office made some changes to the roster and kept the core intact. They did add new players and brought veteran power to the team. General Manager Rob Pelinka re-signed Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura. The Lakers also signed new players like Gabe Vincent, am Reddish, Taurean Prince, Jaxson Hayes, and Christian Wood. When it comes to Wood, he is equally motivated to win.
