Blockbuster Trade Proposal Has Lakers Replace Anthony Davis With MVP

The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t beat the Denver Nuggets again. Players really wanted to win, but it didn’t happen. LeBron James had another monster performance, but Anthony Davis struggled to perform. It was an average night for him and now we have people saying that the Lakers should trade Davis for Joel Embiid. Does this make sense?

Davis finished the night with 17 points. All these points happened in the first half of the game. He was nowhere to be seen in the second half. NBA experts are worried about his inconsistency. Nick Wright from Fox Sports has a suggestion for the Patriots. Swap AD for Embiid.

“I was watching the second half of this game, and I was like, ‘I mean, [Anthony Davis] for Joel Embiid?’” Wright said on the October 25 episode of “First Things First.”

Embiid is an excellent player, but his team hasn’t made the Finals yet. James Harden wants out and the Philadelphia 76ers may really look for ways to trade Embiid if he wants out as well.

Smith can see the Lakers trade Davis

Davis’ struggles in the second half caught the eye of Stephen A. Smith. He wasn’t really kind and even said the big man embarrassed himself in that game. As if this wasn’t enough, he told the world that this kind of performance is the reason why LA won’t get any near the NBA Finals again.

“Atrocious, very concerning,” Smith said on the October 25 episode of “First Take.” “Ladies and gentlemen, you just saw the reason why the Los Angeles Lakers ain’t gon’ win no championship this year. … I’m so ticked off at Anthony Davis right now. It’s an embarrassment what happened with him yesterday. We gotta call it like we see it, okay? When this brother brings his A game, he’s one of the top seven players on the planet Earth.”

Nuggets fans weren’t kind either. There was a lot of trash-talking. It is just one game and AD takes full responsibility for his part. The same goes to any other player on the Lakers roster. It is just one bad game. That’s all.

“They started double-teaming,” Davis said in his October 24 postgame press conference “They were trying to crowd the paint. I missed some easy little layups around the rim and little jumpers. Just trying to make the right play, kick it out to our guys. If I’m doubled, kick it out. Rui [Hachimura] had an open 3, Gabe [Vincent] had open 3s. They just didn’t fall. But I got to shoot it more.”
