Analyst Mentions Versatile $39 Million Veteran As ‘Obvious’ Lakers Trade Target

The Los Angeles Lakers look good and dominant right now, but trade rumors are still loud. The Lakers front office is expected to make another trade move. There are several options for the team right now. NBA analysts have predicted a few trade moves for the team, including Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls. Well, the Lakers can also get real action from a versatile veteran.

Bojan Bogdanovic from the Detroit Pistons could be a good match for the team. LA doesn’t have any tradeable players right now as most of them are eligible for a trade after December 15.

Zach Buckley from Bleacher Report discussed this possibility and he is convinced that Bogdanovic could be a good option for the purple and gold.

“Bojan Bogdanović … still looks like an obvious target for this team,” wrote Buckley on November 21. “His game looks like an effortless fit for this roster. His outside shot (career 39.4 percent) is the best part of his arsenal, but he also has the size to shoot over smaller defenders and the ball skills to slip past bigger ones.

“He’d be a helpful safety net for L.A.’s stars, spreading the floor when they’re on it or assuming control of the offense when they aren’t.”

Lakers face strong competition in their potential pursuit for the versatile veteran

Bogdanovic deals with a calf strain and hasn’t seen any action with the Pistons this season. The 34-year-old had great performance last season, averaging 21.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game with the team.

The Pistons veteran may be aging, but he has several teams running after him. His game is sharp and he could contribute to any team in the NBA.

According to Sam Amico from Hoops Wire, the New York Knicks and Miami Heat showed great interest in the versatile veteran. Will the Lakers face great competition on the market?

“Both the Knicks and Heat have been mentioned as potential suitors for Bogdanovic,” wrote Amico on November 21. “The Cavaliers and Lakers also expressed interest in Bogdanovic last year and could again this season, depending on how things go for both between now and January or February.”
