Head Coach Bill Belichick ‘Expresses Doubt’ To His Patriots Coaching Staff About Future

The New England Patriots may make some changes to their coaching staff in the offseason and this also includes head coach Bill Belichick. Team owner Robert Kraft hasn’t made an official statement regarding Belichick’s future with the team. This doesn’t change the fact that he has been sitting in the hot seat for a really long time. The Patriots left the playoff contention and are close to the end of another disappointing season.

Many place the blame on Belichick, ignoring the fact that he is the best head coach in league history. Belichick cemented himself as the GOAT among all coaches.

Belichick has to make changes if he stays on the Patriots coaching staff

Recent reports suggest that the Patriots decided to cut ties with Belichick following the game in Germany. NFL analysts claim that Kraft will put an end to his tenure with the Patriots after the season.

According to another report, Belichick is not really confident about his future with the Patriots. Mike Reiss from Boston Sports Journal reported that Belichick had some doubts about his future with the team and even expressed these doubts to his coaching staff.

Belichick has spent over two decades with the Patriots, leading them to nine Super Bowl appearances. The team won six rings and set up the foundation of the Patriots Dynasty. No one could beat Tom Brady and legendary Belichick. Where did things go wrong?

Brady’s departure was definitely a blow for the team. However, some would say that things started falling apart before that. Let’s not forget that Brady’s final season with the Patriots was a disaster as well.

Belichick built a good defense, but his offense was a disaster this season. He has yet to find an efficient franchise quarterback. Mac Jones doesn’t look like an option. Bailey Zappe had some highlights in the season, but things don’t look too bright for him either.

If Belichick stays with the Patriots, he will probably replace these two in the offseason.
