Lakers Head Coach Darvin Ham Sounds Off About Potential Trade Moves After Loss To Thunder

The Los Angeles Lakers won several games in a row, but suffered a terrible loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was an ugly loss for the purple and gold and players didn’t feel really good after the 133-110 defeat. The latest loss fueled trade rumors and head coach Darvin Ham could definitely use new names.

The Lakers front office could make a few trade moves in the next period. They have been linked to several players, including Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls. Alex Caruso has also been mentioned as a potential trade target.

Lakers players have shown their dominance on the defensive side of the ball. However, they lost games players were never supposed to lose. NBA analysts have voiced their concerns about this inconsistency.

Several players suffered serious injuries and Ham hopes to get the best of them once they recover completely. Will the Lakers add new players to strengthen their roster?

Ham to get a familiar name through a trade

Ham is happy with his current roster, but he didn’t close the door for new signings. He didn’t reveal much in his session with the media. Ham promised to explore all great options for the team without putting his players at risk.

“We feel like we got a solid process in place. Whatever we can do extra, we’ll explore that. But right now, we’re comfortable where we are getting guys back to playing in a real game. Unfortunate things happen… you can’t be selfish; you have to be smart and not put these guys at risk.”

The LaVine rumor is really loud these days. However, several analysts believe that Rob Pelinka would rather go for Caruso and DeMar DeRozan.

The Lakers have a few tradeable players on the roster, but some of them are eligible for a trade after December 15. Pelinka could trade D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, and a few other players. Austin Reaves has been mentioned as a trade candidate, but the front office won’t let him go at this point.
