Vanessa Bryant Shares Emotional Post Of Kobe, Gigi On Anniversary Of Their Death

Vanessa Bryant lost her husband Kobe and daughter Gigi in a tragic helicopter crash in January 2020. Vanessa honored her husband and daughter on the fourth anniversary of their death.

She took to her Instagram account to share a photo of Kobe and Gianna sitting courtside and added a couple of heart emojis in the caption. The Los Angeles Lakers shared the same photo.

The Lakers legend, Gigi, and seven friends boarded a helicopter in Orange County to attend a basketball tournament in Thousand Oaks. It was supposed to be a short trip, but the group never made their destination. The helicopter crashed into a Calabasas hillside. The pilot, Ara Zobayan, was responsible for the death of Kobe, his daughter, Christina Mauser, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, and Peyton Chester. Zobayan lost his life as well.

Vanessa and hear family try to find a way to live without Kobe and Gigi

Vanessa does her best to keep the memory of her loved ones alive. For the first anniversary of the tragedy, she shared an emotional note from Gigi’s best friend, Audrey.

Losing her husband and daughter caused “unimaginable” pain. However, Vanessa knew that she can’t spend the rest of her life lying in bed. Her daughters need her. The tragedy changed her family for good, but Vanessa does her best to “make the day better” for her girls.

Vanessa is now taking care of the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. It’s a nonprofit that assists “underserved” child athletes. She really wants to make her late husband and daughter proud. Vanessa also wants Natalia, Bianka, and Capri to be proud of her as well.

Fans took notice of Vanessa’s post and delivered great messages filled with love.

“Always in our hearts,” replied former coach and teammate Byron Scott.

“Sending you and the girls big hugs,” a friend said.

“Love those smiles!” a user commented.

“So much love being sent your way,” Anjelah Johnson added.

“Sending you and the girls prayers and lots of love today and always,” a fan said.
