Anthony Davis Calls Out HC Darvin Ham Gameplan After Lakers’ Loss

The Los Angeles Lakers added an unexpected loss to their chart and this one came at the hands of the Sacramento Kings. Things looked really good for the team as players managed to keep a strong winning streak. Losing the game to the Kings was a big blow for the storied team. Players made many familiar mistakes and could easily avoid this disaster. Lakers big man Anthony Davis had issues with head coach Darvin Ham.

“That was a game that we needed. … We came out with all the energy on both ends of the floor,” Davis said. “And then the second quarter dictated the game. Some of the things we were in defensively allowed De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk to get whatever they want, live up in the paint. If I go help, then [Domantas] Sabonis is wide open. They did a good job manipulating what we were doing.

“It was questionable foul calls. It’s tough to play in foul trouble. You don’t want to pick up any cheap ones. But, yeah, when I’m down on the floor our defense is a different team.”

Domantas Sabonis finished the game with 16 points, 20 rebounds, 12 assists, and 2 steals. AD did 14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and a block. The Kings really tried to push Davis and his teammates down in order to secure their win.

Davis, Lakers players have issues with Ham

NBA analysts are worried about the energy inside the Lakers locker room. It is not really friendly and there’s growing tension between LeBron James and Ham. Davis is not the only Lakers player to have issues with the head coach. Many players disagree with his in-game moves. It’s really concerning to hear all the speculation about Ham’s issues. Is he on his way out? Will the Lakers front office take all these stories in consideration and make another move on their head coach? Davis didn’t criticize his head coach directly, but his comments are definitely something worth thinking about.
