Lakers’ Anthony Davis Delivers Strong Message On D’Angelo Russell’s Big Night

D’Angelo Russell was brilliant in the win over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Anthony Davis delivered words of praise for his teammate. Russell scored 26 points, six rebounds, four steals, three assists, and one block. He did an incredible job and got people talking.

“That’s what he do. He’s shown that he can get hot any point in game. And when he made the first two, we kind of knew the third one was going up,” Davis said about Russell. “He tried to play like he didn’t want to shoot and threw it to Bron, and Bron gave it right back to him just knowing.”

“I knew it was going in. I was already standing up when they scored, and he kind of pushed the ball up the floor.

“He’s able to get it going and kind of just fuels our offense.”

There was strong speculation about Russell’s future with the Lakers. He looked like a good addition last season, but struggled in the postseason. Let’s just say Russell was a no factor in the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets. Many believes that the franchise would let Russell go. Well, the front office decided to give him a chance. It looks like he is willing to get the best of this opportunity.

Davis praises Russell, Reaves

Austin Reaves had a great night, too. He scored 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and one steal. The talented Lakers guard understood the assignment and shut down Oklahoma.

Davis said that Austin “did a great job moving his feet.” Lakers players looked good in the win and we all hope to see an even better performance in the final stretch of the season.

The Lakers have some important games to win now. They have the right skills and we can only make guesses. Let’s hope to see more of Russell’s dominance.
