Report: Troy Aikman Gives His Take On Patriots Dynasty

Troy Aikman was part of the NFL wave and won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys. The team had a legendary roster, and NFL experts would agree that the Cowboys of the 1990s were the greatest dynasty in the history.

Times have changed, and the New England Patriots took the title away from the Cowboys. Tom Brady is the first quarterback in the league’s history to win five Super Bowls after defeating the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 52. The quarterback won his first Super Bowl in 2001 and his fifth in 2016. The Patriots made the AFC Championship eight years in a row and 13 in total. Experts know that New England is the most consistently competitive team in the NFL. So, yes, Troy Aikman has every right to say that the Patriots are the greatest dynasty in the league.

Aikman went on the Fox broadcast of Thursday Night Football, and talked about the Pats.

“You can’t even put it into words. As someone who played, and I was able to win three in four years, the Patriots certainly did that and went on to win two more. What they’ve done, everything else pales in comparison. I don’t care, any other team you want to compare it with. Maybe in all of sports, but certainly in the NFL. There’s nothing that comes close. Greatest dynasty I’ve ever seen,” he said.

No team in the league has won five championships with the same coach-quarterback duo. The Pittsburgh Steelers had four wins with Terry Bradshaw and Chuck Noll, and that is pretty much it. Other teams are not even close to this.
Brady has the longest gap between Super Bowl wins at 15 years. The Steelers are the only team with more championships in total than New England has this century.

Words cannot describe that.
