Watch: Sony Michel Suffers Nasty Injury Vs. Bears

Many thought that the New England Patriots got back on the track again, but things do not look too bright for the team. The Patriots recovered after their losses at the beginning of the season, but they were plagued by several injuries. This time it is Sony Michel.

The rookie fumbled a 1st and 10 handoff from quarterback Tom Brady, and things did not ended well for him. Sony Michel suffered a knee injury on the play as he got rolled up on by Bilal Nichols. The rookie was down on the ground, and then asked for help to get over to the sideline. Trainers evaluated his condition, and the rookie was then carted to the locker room. According to initial reports, he is dealing with a serious injury.

New England revealed that this is a knee injury, and his return to the game against the Chicago Bears is questionable.

It was a terrible play for Michel and the Patriots in general. The team did not hope for such scenario, and nobody ever thought that Michel would get injured. The rookie back had a great game in the last three weeks and rushed for over 100-yards twice, scoring four touchdowns. In Week 7, Michel rushed for 400 yards and his touchdowns, and was the brightest spot in the Patriots backfield alongside James White.

Before his injury today, Michel was off to another great game as he was able to rush for 22 yards on four carried and caught a lone target for 13 yards.

The Patriots will now be obliged to rely on the talents of James White and Kenjon Barner. If Michel misses some games, these two will have to give their best as Rex Burkhead is still on injured reserve. We will keep you updated on Michel’s knee injury.
