NBA Media React To The Los Angeles Lakers’ Win Over The Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers are slowly turning into contenders, and they had another great win. The have established themselves as a real force on Saturday night as they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers. Yes, the Lakers overcame the early season loss to the Blazers and made another step towards the .500 point.

Winning over the Blazers was not an easy task, but the Lakers made it. JaVale McGee had an awesome game, and the same applies to LeBron James.

“McGee is up to 4 blocks on the evening, and added a dunk off LeBron’s dish to reach 8 points on 4 of 5 FG’s in a 60-all tie early in the 3rd Q,” Mike Trudell tweeted.

McGee was the star of the show, and he received nothing but praise. LeBron was right to say that his teammate deserves the top award this season.

LeBron dropped a dime off to McGee for a reverse (behind his head, actually) layup that made it 111-104 with 28 seconds left.

Rajon Rondo returned after his suspension, and did an awesome job in the first half. “Rajon Rondo, who was very effective in the first half, has LAL’s 2nd unit going again in the 3rd Q. He scored at the rim on possessions sandwiched around 2 Josh Hart FT’s to put LAL up 78-71 at the 2:44 mark,” Trudell added.

The Lakers put an end to their losing “traditio,” and hopefully head coach Luke Walton will keep his position secure for a long, long time. The head coach met with Magic Johnson to discuss the current condition of the Lakers.

Although many said that his position was not secure, Luke Walton was not in danger. Not this time. The team won this game, and they will win many more, and we bet the front office is satisfied with this win.
