LeBron James Makes Bombshell Claim About Lakers Defense

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had their fifth victory of the regular season, and Tyson Chandler joined the team at the right time. His debut game was crowned with victory. Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler had an excellent shooting play, and the Minnesota Timberwolves reached a franchise record 20 three-pointers. But, what about the Lakers defense?

The Los Angeles Lakers held the Timberwolves to 110 points, and that’s fairly high if you ask some experts. However, the game was still tied for the lowest point total the Los Angeles Lakers have given up this year. If you ask LeBron, he will give you the perfect response when it comes to describing the Lakers defense.

“This is the most we’ve defended for 48 minutes all year, and we did it against a very good team,” James told media members after the big game Wednesday night.

Things like this change overnight at this point of the regular season. LeBron’s team is out of the bottom five in terms of defense. Can we say this is a progress?

Minnesota had excellent outside shooting efficiency, but the Lakers managed to handle it thanks to JaVale McGee and Tyson Chandler.

Why did LeBron mention “48 minutes?” We could definitely feel Chandler’s presence here, and that’s why the Lakers signed him. In previous contests, the Los Angeles Lakers had lengthy stretches where it felt like they would not be able to stop a nosebleed. They employed a second NBA-caliber center, so these stretches will probably feel a bit shorter. That’s what LeBron was talking about here.

However, it was a great night for the Lakers in terms of defense. It was not awesome, but was definitely decent. But, the only thing that matters now is the fact that they won the game. Let’s see how will they do next time.
