Watch Patriots Go Nuts In Locker Room When Bill Belichick Gives Them Monday Off

The New England Patriots defeated the Minnesota Vikings, and really earned their day off. Well, head coach Bill Belichick does not usually give them days off, but he knows how to reward the guys for playing well.

In the past few months, the head coach gives the Patriots something they call “a Victory Monday,” meaning Mondays are always a day off after a game day.

Reporters get the chance to sneak in Patriots locker room after every game they win in order to give us some of the postgame celebration. We get to see Bill Belichick talk to his guys and give them words of praise. In yesterday’s celebration, players congratulated fullback James Develin for his couple of touchdowns. He sure had a nice performance. Maybe Develin should score touchdowns more often.

Belichick addressed the players, and then reporters could hear something about “Victory Monday.” Belichick gave his thumbs up, and players were like small kids being happy for a holiday vacation.

“It’s a good win against a good football team,” Belichick said in his postgame news conference.

Well, maybe he should have talked more about his altercation with Adam Thielen. “No offense taken. It’s football. There’s emotions. He can think what he wants to think about me, and it doesn’t really change how I’m going to go play the game. He can hate me all he wants, and I’m going to still be the same person I am,” Adam Thielen said.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots are more about winning than talking. They are 9-3, and this brings them as close as the Kansas City Chiefs when it comes to racing to the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.

The Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the race. But, the Patriots have Brady on the team, so this is a finished deal.
