LeBron James Sends Critics Most Defiant Message Yet

LeBron James and his team are the favorite target of critics, but the king of basketball has a huge message for them all.

LeBron insisted there’s no chance that he is demoted to the Lakers bench, despite all the calls for him to be shut down. Critics would love that. Some even said that the team is better off without him. King James was criticized in recent weeks following the numerous losses. Things got worse on Monday after the Lakers lost the game to the Los Angeles Clippers. This was the last bullet they received, and it put them away from the playoff picture. LeBron’s lack of defensive effort was highlighted by Kyle Kuzma. The young Laker pushed him in the back to block a three-point attempt by Danilo Gallinari.

Will Lakers head coach relieve King James of his starting berth? If you ask LeBron, he will say he doesn’t plan on missing any of the remaining games.

“That would take a lot of convincing from Luke [Walton] on up,” he said. “Unless I’m hurt, I’m not sitting games. That conversation hasn’t occurred, but I’m sure it can happen soon.”

The whole thing happened a week after LeBron challenged NBA teams “to come on with it,” regarding his defensive game.

“I mean, every team has the right if they want to single me out defensively. Come on with it,” LeBron told Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes. “Hey, listen, come on with it. Every team has the right to be like, ‘Oh, ‘Bron’s over there.’ Hey, just come on with it. We’ll see what happens.”

Well, LeBron isn’t bothered by this criticism.

“I really don’t care. Criticism doesn’t bother me. I love to play the game and my teammates know what I do for them and that’s all that matters. The only thing motivating me is how I can try to help my teammates be successful and trying to win ball games.”
