Terrell Suggs Makes Surprising Statement About. Tom Brady’s Greatness

The Patriots nation was “dying” to hear Terrell Suggs say something great for Tom Brady. Well, he finally did that… sort of.

The Baltimore Ravens linebacker inked a deal with the Arizona Cardinals and went on FS1’s “Undisputed” on Wednesday to talk about several topics, including Brady’s 6 rings. At the end of the conversation, Skip Bayless asked if Suggs had finally gained respect for the six-time Super Bowl champion, Suggs said he isn’t surprised Brady has made this far.

“What does he got? Five rings? Six rings? Got as many as [Michael Jordan]? What can I say to that,” Suggs said. “Yeah, he’s got six rings. Good for him.”

When asked if he was shocked by Brady’s longevity in the league, Suggs sort of complimented him.

“Well, the way the game is played now, the way the rules changed, I’d probably be able to sneak it out until I’m 40,” Suggs said. “It ain’t the same game from when I came in and when Shannon [Sharpe] played. It’s almost two-hand touch now, but, hey, we’ll play nice. We’ll play along, so it’s not shocking at all. The rules ain’t the same. The game isn’t the same. They have more protection than anybody the quarterbacks in this league. It’s not very shocking at all.”

Suggs isn’t really a fan of Brady and in 2013 he shared his opinion about the Patriots quarterback. He said, “I don’t like him. He don’t like me. I don’t like his hair. I don’t know. I don’t like his smug attitude. But then again he probably doesn’t like my a—— attitude. … Everybody just seems to worship the guy, not me though.”

Well, we believe that Brady will give Suggs a few more reasons to respect him. A seventh ring maybe? That would be nice, right? We’re looking forward to it.
