Watch: Belichick Calls N’Keal Harry To Welcome Him To The Patriots

N’Keal Harry had the warmest of all welcomes, and the New England Patriots were more than positive about his role on the team. Harry was selected with the No. 32 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. There’s a video of the call head coach Bill Belichick made.

The New England Patriots called in the pick to the NFL, and Belichick called up Harry to welcome him on the team.

“Hey N’Keal, it’s Coach Belichick,” he said. “Congratulations, you’re a New England Patriot. We’re excited to start working with you and glad to have you aboard.”

Harry and the Patriots met in the pre-draft process, and the Patriots really liked him.

“He’s been a productive player,” Director of Player Personnel Nick Caserio said. “He has some physical attributes that are important to that position. There’s some other good players that are up there, as well, so we just thought this was the player that made the most sense for us at the time.

“Yeah, he’s a strong guy. He’s hard to tackle. He actually has a little bit of ability to just make people miss. It’s one of the things that he’s been productive doing. You get the ball in his hands and he’s been able to make some yards. We’ll see if that translates over to us here when we get him.”

Harry is more than happy to join the Patriots. This was the best thing that could ever happen to him.

“It means the world to me,” Harry said of the chance he was given. “For him to have that much faith in me and to have that much trust in me, it just makes me want to work that much harder. So, I’m going to come in with a workhouse mindset and get better every day.”

“I would describe my game as very passionate,” Harry said. “I play with a lot of passion. Whenever that ball is in the air, I’ll sacrifice anything to go get it and I’ll do whatever it takes to help the team win. Anything Coach wants me to do, whether it’s on special teams, offense, anything, I’ll do it just to do my part and to be one piece of the puzzle in helping us win.”
