Jets Legend Joe Namath Explains Why Brady Is Best Quarterback Ever

There’s an ongoing debate regarding the best quarterback in the NFL. Well, Jets legend Joe Namath has a favorite, and he has a few good reasons to say that Brady is the “GOAT.”

Namath went on “The Howard Stern Show,” and said that Brady is the league’s best-ever. Brady is even better than the quarterbacks Namath idolized as a fresh player.

“Tom is the best,” Namath said. “I’ve been asked that question for many years — and Johnny (Unitas) was my hero, Otto Graham was great, Slingin’ Sammy Baugh, I go back, these guys are great. But meantime, Tom has been challenged more in recent history certainly with huge games than anybody I can recollect — and he stepped up every time.”

What makes Brady the GOAT? Namath isn’t interested in statistics or Super Bowl rings. He is focused on all the challenges Brady handles over and over again. according to Namath, no other quarterback has had the same challenges Brady had in his professional career.

“I would have to say he’s the best at answering the challenge there ever was, yes,” Namath said. “I’ve not seen anybody have that many big games and answer the challenge as well as he has.”

Namath and every other player made a few mistakes throughout his career. These mistakes led to losses. Brady has never made a mistake that resulted in a loss. That’s what makes him the GOAT.

“I have not seen Tom Brady lose a game for his team,” Namath said.

“Broadway” Joe Namath was one of the greatest stars in the NFL during his 12-year sting with the Jets. He played with the team from 1965 to 1976. The five-time Pro Bowler was among the first players to bring the image of a “celebrity” quarterback. Fans remember him for his “Guarantee” of a win against the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III before he took the Jets to a big win.

Brady will be 42 next season, and he is the league’s oldest position player.

Namath made a few good remarks, and he has every right to say that Brady is the best.
