Report: LeBron James Could Demand Trade From Lakers

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been involved in numerous speculations, and some say that the king will leave Jeanie Buss’ team. Will LeBron really demand a trade from the Lakers?

LeBron has already denied the report about his trust in the team being “damaged.” But, how does he feel about the Lakers and the upcoming free agency.

According to sources, LeBron has already had contact with Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler. There’s a huge chance that these players re-sign with their teams or with a different team. The Lakers aren’t considered favorites.

If the Lakers fail to land another All-Star player in free agency or through a trade, LeBron may demand a trade for the 2019-20 NBA season. That’s what Bill Plaschke of Los Angeles Times said.

“I’m hearing that if they whiff on free agency, and if they whiff on a trade – which I don’t know how likely that is, but if that happens, they’ve got big trouble with LeBron. Why would LeBron – I mean, the LeBron era could be over before it starts here.”

How will this affect LeBron’s future plans?

“I heard this for the first time yesterday. Somebody very connected said, “You know what, if they whiff, LeBron’s going to say either, ‘I’m out of here’ or ‘Get me out of here,’ or the Lakers better just might as well just get him out of here.”

However, LeBron wants to be with the team, and help them win championships. Simple as that.

“If LeBron has ever had as little power over an organization as he has now with the Lakers, it’s been a long, long time. LeBron does not have a “no-trade” clause in his contract, and he’s signed for two more seasons. He did not ask the Lakers to do anything to their roster or coaching staff before he signed with them last July; he just handed them the keys to their kingdom. He and his family love living in Los Angeles, and his eldest son is just reaching high school. In other words, southern California is where he wants to be.”
