Steve Kerr’s Latest Comment on Kevin Durant’s Injury Makes Warriors’ Medical Staff Look Clueless

What’s going on in the Golden State? Kevin Durant had a surgery to repair his Achilles injury, and head coach Steve Kerr made a statement about it.

Well, his comments sort of got us thinking that the medical staff had no idea about Durant’s injury.

“Our feeling was the worst thing that could happen would be a re-injury of the calf — so the Achilles came as a complete shock,” Kerr said.

Charles Barkley called out the Golden State for letting Durant play with an injured leg. According to him, Durant wasn’t supposed to take part in the decision-making process.

“You’ve been asking these guys all morning if there’s somebody to blame. Yes, there is somebody to blame: the Golden State Warriors for putting KD out there,” Barkley said during his appearance on ESPN’s Get Up on Tuesday morning. “Listen, that was not right. If you go back and look at the last two weeks—the article comes out, KD’s worst nightmare that the Warriors are winning without him. Then you come out, you read the articles, the Warriors are really unhappy that KD won’t risk his Achilles, they’re frustrated with KD.

“Now this man has to be feeling some type of way, so I blame the Warriors for KD getting hurt, and I don’t care what they say about it. They shouldn’t have put that man out there. You know how I know it? Because he blew out his Achilles.”

Durant took to Instagram to provide an update on his injury and the surgery he had today.

“What’s good everybody I wanted to update you all: I did rupture my Achilles. Surgery was today and it was a success, EASY MONEY
“My road back starts now! I got my family and my loved ones by my side and we truly appreciate all the messages and support people have sent our way.
“Like I said Monday, I’m hurting deeply, but I’m OK. Basketball is my biggest love and I wanted to be out there that night because that’s what I do. I wanted to help my teammates on our quest for the three peat. Its just the way things go in this game and I’m proud that I gave it all I physically could, and I’m proud my brothers got the W.
“It’s going to be a journey but I’m built for this. I’m a hooper. I know my brothers can get this Game 6, and I will be cheering  with dub nation while they do it.”
