Suspended Patriots WR Josh Gordon Reportedly Changed His Mind

Just when everyone thought Josh Gordon was ready to shine with Tom Brady and the Patriots, the former All-Pro wideout announced that he would be stepping away from the game to focus on his mental health.

Shortly thereafter, it was announced that Gordon had been suspended indefinitely due to violation of the terms of his initial reinstatement.

However, the most recent rumors are that the former Pro-Bowler is looking for another chance and has officially filed for reinstatement.

Gordon appeared in 12 games this past season which was his longest stint across one campaign since he played in 14 contests with Cleveland back in 2013.

Flash began 2018 with the Browns before being traded to New England, where he compiled 41 receptions for 737 yards and 4 touchdowns.

There will definitely be a lot of speculations, but it remains to be seen if commissioner Roger Goodell will let Gordon come back.

If Goodell does in fact opt to do so, we’re sure Bill Belichick and Co. would welcome the troubled pass-catcher back with open arms.

So far, Belichick had remained reserved regarding Gordon’s status.

“We don’t have anything to do with Josh Gordon,” the Patriots head coach said at a training camp press conference Thursday morning. “He’s suspended. You need to talk to the league. We have no control over Josh Gordon.”

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady also spoke about his former teammate after practice on Wednesday.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing with him and obviously hope everything works out for him,” said Brady. “I’m hoping the best, certainly.”

We all hope him the best and are eager to see how the situation evolves.
