Tom Brady Continues To Shine On Twitter, Cracks Epic Super Bowl LII Joke

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady knows how to keep people amused. Remember when Brady said he’d never join Twitter? Well, he did, and it looks like a good decision. On Tuesday, the Patriots quarterback posted a photo of himself at practice, with his hands up in the air. He is trying to catch a football, of course. Brady used the opportunity to mention Super Bowl LII.

“I know your [fantasy] drafts are coming up so I need to let all of you know I’m a PPR threat now,” the quarterback wrote.

There was another tweet, of course. “We’re in the trust tree here, so no Super Bowl 52 jokes please.”

In that Super Bowl, Brady dropped a pass from Danny Amendola on a trick play, and missed the chance to help the team win.

“Good execution wins games,” Brady said after the loss. “I think that’s ultimately what we have to do. When you have to make the plays, you either make them or you don’t.

“I don’t want to bring on any drama this year,” he added. “I’m just focused on what I want to do, and be a great football player for this team and be a good example in the locker room, provide great leadership. That’s where my focus is. I know people want to talk about a lot of other things, but I just really want to stick on football and focus on being the best I can be for this team.”

He couldn’t afford another mistake, and his team won Super Bowl LIII.

But, nobody can forget the pass he dropped, and the Eagles have a reason to brag.

“It’s the most unique, together, group of men,” Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said during the trophy presentation when asked to describe his team. “I’ve told them, I’ve never seen a group come together with all the adversity and injuries and losing our franchise QB and you’re World Champs.”

Hopefully, the Patriots won’t do the same mistake this season. Brady won’t do it, because he doesn’t like losing. Simple like that. The Patriots have a strong receiving unit, and that may change everything.
