Watch: Josh Gordon Is Back, Hauls First TD In Season Opener Game

The New England Patriots weren’t joking when they confirmed their readiness to go for a seventh championship win. The team looks really great at the moment, and they adjusted their roster to perfection. New England is playing the regular season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they are already scoring. Quarterback Tom Brady was looking forward to having Josh Gordon back in the game, and he was right about the wide receiver.

In his first official game since his suspension, Gordon was able to catch a short pass from TB12 on a crossing route. Gordon ran directly through cornerback Joe Haden and made his way to the end zone for a 20-yard touchdown. This is the very first score for the Patriots in the new season. It’s a promising score, and we believe Gordon will stack a few more.

This is what the Patriots nation dreams of. New England needed Gordon, and he needed the team. Bill Belichick did the right thing, and Gordon addressed the issues he had regarding his suspension.

“Before the 2019 season starts, I would like to address an issue that arose toward the end of last season,” Gordon said in a statement. “It’s been well documented that I have battled substance abuse for quite some time. Unfortunately, I did not take the time to focus on a solution to my problem until this past year. I am eternally grateful for the constant support from the NFL, NFLPA and the Patriots organization. I also want to thank my family, friends and all the fans who supported me while I addressed this issue. Going forward, I will not be discussing the details of my past. I plan to focus on the present and getting better every day. I hope people will judge me on what I do now and in the future. I look forward to being a member of the Patriots once again this season and doing my part by contributing on and off the field.”

This game will be huge. The Patriots won’t make a step back, and they are off to another score. Let’s go!
