Colin Cowherd Says AFC Is Over… Patriots Will Roll To Super Bowl

The New England Patriots have a really strong roster, and the addition of Mohamed Sanu was the cherry on top. Colin Cowherd has a theory about the Patriots and their chances to win the Super Bowl.

New England defeated the New York Jets on Monday, and the 33-0 win was the best we’ve ever seen so far. The offense struggled, but the defense did a perfect job.

Cowherd declared the AFC “is over,” saying the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens have almost no chance to destroy the Patriots in Foxboro in the playoffs.

“Folks I’m going to say something, and nobody has heard me say this ever … it’s over. The AFC is over,” Cowherd said Tuesday. “Maybe, maybe, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, maybe they can beat New England, the AFC is done. The Kansas City Chiefs? Really? They couldn’t get Jacoby Brissett off the field. They don’t do anything well on defense. … Once Andrew Luck retired, with that offensive line and that general manager and coach, the only thing left was Kansas City. And now, (Patrick) Mahomes is not and will not be 100-percent the rest of the year … the AFC is over. Hi, Patriots fans, see you down in Miami, February 2.”

The Patriots looked really good on Monday, and they will definitely look this good throughout the season. Sanu joined the team Tuesday, and his arrival was one of the best moves so far.

There’s too much time to make any predictions, but the AFC won’t be as competitive as it used to be. The New England Patriots are winners. They sit at 7-0 at the moment, and they will definitely keep working at this pace.

Antonio Brown was a terrible decision, and the team made a few mistakes, but that won’t happen ever again. The Patriots signed a few great players and even decided to get rid of Josh Gordon by placing him on injured reserve which will probably be followed by a cut. Some of their key players are missing, but that doesn’t mean a thing for head coach Bill Belichick and his players.
