Mohamed Sanu Was Mind-Blown By Matthew Slater’s Speech After Win Over Browns

Mohamed Sanu arrived in New England days before the Patriots confronted the Cleveland Browns. Everything points to the fact that he likes his new home. And Matthew Slater, too.

Sanu was acquired through a trade deal with the Atlanta Falcons last week. He had his debut Sunday at Gillette Stadium. The veteran wide receiver didn’t really contribute to the game as he had two catches for 23 yards. However, this didn’t change his mood, and he was really fired up to see the Patriots go 8-0 on the regular season.

His excitement was fueled by Slater, who delivered an amazing postgame speech following the big win. Most of the players are used to Slater’s motivational messages, but Sanu has never seen anything like this. He was so impressed!

“It was pretty cool. Slate gave probably the best postgame speech I’ve ever heard in my life,” the receiver said. “I mean, it was unbelievable. I was ready to play another whole game. I was like, ‘What?’ They were like, ‘We do this after every game.’ I was like, ‘Wow.’ It was incredible.”

Well, it sure feels good to see Tom Brady leading the team to a new win. The Patriots have six Super Bowls, and they are off to their seventh ring. It will be a big season for the team, and hopefully, they will win every game of the regular season.

“We actually talked about that look very early in the week,” Sanu said of the game and the preparations. “[Brady] said, ‘Be alert,’ and we were on the same page. It was pretty cool. Elements didn’t matter. Guys were really excited to have me out there and I was really excited to be out there. We made a whole bunch of plays on defense. We’re figuring some things out on offense. Made some mistakes on my end, but we’ll get it fixed.”

Head coach Bill Belichick had his 300th career win, and it was a big day for him. It was a big day for every player on the Patriots roster.

Let’s see what happens in the team’s next game.
