Warriors’ Steph Curry To Andre Iguodala: ‘I miss you, bro’

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry had his practice with the new teammates, but he really misses Andre Iguodala. These two have accomplished so much during their time together, and it’s sad to see them play on different teams.

Curry talked to reporter after the second day of Warriors practice on Wednesday. He texted Iguodala on the first day of practice at their new arena.

“I had a little heartfelt moment. Said, ‘I miss you bro,’” Curry said. “It’s weird not seeing him. You get used to so many faces and certain presences on the court.”

Curry also missed Shaun Livingston. The Warriors cut him this summer.

“You saw them, you know what time it was,” he said. “And things change obviously, we’ve talked about it all summer. I knew this kind of situation was happening, but it’s definitely weird.”

But, this won’t stop him from taking the team to the finals again.

“At the end of the day, it’s just about continuing to do the things that help me be successful and helped me lead teams in the past, and it’s just a level of awareness and trying to be as proactive as possible trying to make everyone comfortable building chemistry and leading by example,” Curry said. “I don’t have to change much in that respect.”

Head coach Steve Kerr is satisfied with his new-look Warriors.

“This is such a dramatic change from where we’ve been over the last four years that I think it allows for more change, more internal evaluation, what can we do better,” Kerr said of the 2019-20 team. “You know, the new building is almost a metaphor for how we can approach the season. We’ve got a chance to reset some things. Anything we feel like could improve our team, it’s a great opportunity to start fresh on some things.

“We want to maintain the culture that we’ve built, but we want to make sure our players are put in the best position to succeed, and the last four years we pretty much knew exactly what that meant. We don’t really know what it means this year. That’s why we have a lot of work ahead, but it’s exciting. I’m looking forward to it.”
