LeBron James And Luka Doncic Post Insane Numbers In Epic Duel

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a 119-110 record on Friday night. LeBron James and Luka Doncic were incredible.

Doncic posted a triple-double with 31 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds in 38 minutes. This didn’t help him push Dallas over the top. LeBron had his triple-double with 39 points, 16 assists and 12 boards of his own across 43 minutes.

Doncic also earned a hit in the head.

“I felt a little bit weird a few minutes after the hit, but then it was OK,” said Doncic. “There was nothing to worry about. … It was a little headache. I had a little headache for a few minutes, but then it was over. I put some ice on it, and it was better.

“I was just asking if I got hit in the head, how’s that not a foul?” Doncic said. “Just should have concentrated on the game and not talked to the refs. That was my fault.”

Doncic, who drove the lane and dished to Finney-Smith for a go-ahead 3-pointer two possessions after the collision, said leaving the game was never an option.

“Everybody knows I want to play in overtime,” he said. “I wanted to play, in any case. I wanted to end the game.”

Coach Rick Carlisle agreed with his superstar.

“I was upset too, but I’m not going to spend 50 grand to criticize,” Carlisle said. “It just doesn’t make sense. These are hard games. I don’t know what else to say. They’re hard games, and they’re very emotional. It’s tough. It’s tough when you think you’re getting hit and the whistle’s not blowing.”

This was actually the first NBA game in which LeBron James and Luka Doncic both had triple-doubles with 30 points and 15 assists.

Doncic is the youngest players to post these stats, and LeBron is the oldest.

This game was brilliant for LeBron, and the Lakers fanbase really needed to see this from their star player. Hopefully, LeBron will keep playing at this pace. We’re looking forward to a similar performance in the next game. This will be a big season for the Lakers.
