Report: Ex-Patriot Antonio Brown Quits NFL, ‘Treat Black People the Worse’

Antonio Brown decided to give up on his NFL career, and it looks like he is pretty serious about it. The former Patriots receiver posted a rant on social media, and used the words “black people” to attract everyone’s attention.

According to Brown, the NFL treats black people unfairly. He also advised fantasy football owners to stop hoping for his return.

Brown has decided to take another path, and he won’t allow other people to make money off his blood and sweat. He doesn’t like the way the league controlled his name and body, and demanded that his name was cleaned.

The receiver also wrote that he gave the system a 100 percent, and received an unfair treatment in return. He wasn’t happy with the way the NFL made money of his “sweat and blood.”

Of course, he mentioned that black people are treated the worst in the NFL.

“- @nfl I’m going down another path no more making money off my blood and sweat,” Brown wrote. “No more control of my name and body clear my name I am done with it ! So you fantasy – can let it go. Imagine conforming to a system giving it a 100 percent to see them treat me like this is unfairly! Making money off my sweat and blood – the @nfl. I’ll never play in that – treat black people the worse! Clear my name and go – yourself.”

Brown has already done this before. In September, the receiver said that he will never play in the league again. This happened right after the Patriots decided to cut him. He was cut after one woman accused him of sending her disturbing messages full of threats.

“These owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up!”

The receiver changed his mind in an effort to get signed by a team. He trained really hard, but NFL teams don’t want him. Brown carries too many problems on his back. He had no other choice but leave the NFL for good.

Is Brown right about his black people comment?

The league will hear Brown’s side of the story regarding his rape accusations. Brown was accused of raping his former trainer, Britney Taylor ad his Florida apartment in 2018. Taylor filed a lawsuit against the receiver, and the league launched an investigation.

It’s been two months now, but the situation hasn’t changed a lot.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that the troubled player would meet with the NFL. This investigation won’t end in near future.

Brown denies Taylor’s accusations. According to his lawyer, “any sexual interaction” between the receiver and his trainer “was entirely consensual.”

The receiver will keep working out, but he won’t return to the NFL in near future. Maybe he won’t return ever again.
