Tom Brady Reacts To Julian Edelman’s ‘Great’ Touchdown Pass

The New England Patriots defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, but their offense struggled as usual. The offense struggled for most of the game against the Eagles, but was able to break through in the third quarter. New England scored a game-winning game when Phillip Dorsett hauled in a 15-yard catch in the middle of the end zone at Lincoln Financial Field. It’s really interesting to note that the touchdown pass didn’t come from quarterback Tom Brady. It came from wide receiver Julian Edelman.

Despite the issues with the offense this season, Brady was really happy to see his great friend and teammate make a good read and throw a good ball.

During his weekly appearance on WEEI, Brady praised Edelman’s touchdown pass. According to him, it as a really good throw. The players bit up on the fake, and the safety decided to come out of the middle field. It was really good that Edelman recognized this and was able to make a good throw. It was excellent, and Brady was sort of confused about Edelman’s target. Dorsett was open in the middle of the end zone, and he actually grabbed the ball. Yes, Edelman had an excellent throw.

“It was a pretty great throw if you ask me,” Brady said. “They kind of bit up on the fake and the safety came out of the middle field, and it was really great Jules recognized that and just made a great throw. That was pretty cool, but I was kind of going ‘Where is he throwing?’ and Phillip was open in the middle of the end zone. Phil made a great catch and Jules made a great throw.”

Belichick liked the touchdown pass

Head coach Bill Belichick praised his receiver, too. The head coach admitted that the Patriots struggled at the beginning of the match, but said great words for their performance in every part of the game. Edelman’s touchdown pass was brilliant, and Belichick appreciated his ability to make a good read. Maybe the Patriots should use Edelman in this aspect. He has a rough quarterback lying deep inside him. Even Brady joked about it in one of his interviews.

The Patriots are 9-1 at this point of the regular season, and that’s actually bad news for every other team. Everyone thought that Brady’s performance would drop, but the quarterback still has some tricks up his sleeve. It will be a long season, and the Patriots are ready to win. Brady said the second half of the season is more important for his team, so they better try even harder than this. Game on, Patriots!
