Ayesha Curry Sends Message To Fans For Support, Prayers Following Steph Curry’s Hand Injury

The Golden State Warriors didn’t expect to lose Steph Curry at the start of the season. Curry broke his left hand in the 121-110 loss to the Phoenix Suns. His wife, Ayesha, tweeted out the family’s appreciation for the support of Curry during the difficult times.

“Our entire family thanks you all for the love and support and PRAYERS for Stephen,” Ayesha wrote on Twitter. “When the love surpasses life’s hurdles there is NOTHING you can’t overcome. We stand in our belief of impact over legacy. This is Gods way of showing him, you, I , us how to “trust the process.”

The Warriors are coming off an NBA Finals loss at the hands of the Toronto Raptors. Kevin Durant left the team for the Brooklyn Nets, and the team signed D’Angelo Russell to a four-year contract to make up for the loss.

But losing Curry is a completely different problem.

“It’s been a tough start for us on many levels, so we’re just trying to find our footing,” head coach Steve Kerr admitted Wednesday. “This puts us in a tough spot. … It’s a great opportunity for these young guys to play, but it’s also a little bit too much. You want to bring along rookies as best you can and we’re just putting so much on their plate, but we have no choice.”

“Well, we all knew this was inevitable at some point. It doesn’t make it any easier when you lose guys who you’ve counted on, become close with, and so so much change in the off-season was really — even though we knew it was coming at some point, it’s still jarring.”

Warriors general manager Bob Myers addressed the possible reconstruction of the team.

“We believe that things take time to evolve, and we’re prepared especially with a younger roster to allow that to happen, and that’s the mindset that we have from a coaching staff, from a front office staff, is let’s see how things are going before we make any blanket decisions or judgment on any of it,” Myers said at Warriors Media Day.

Let’s see what happens with the Warriors this season. One thing stands for sure… They won’t make the playoffs.
