Jared Dudley Says He’s Taking LeBron James Over Anthony Davis 1-on-1

The Los Angeles Lakers have two big stars on the roster. LeBron James and Anthony Davis. LeBron arrived in town last season, and Davis acquired through a trade deal with the New Orleans Pelicans. These two joined the Lakers to win a title, and it looks like they will get one this year. The Lakers are doing pretty well in the regular season, and it’s more than obvious that they have transformed themselves into contenders. But, we do have one question. Is LeBron better than Davis? According to Lakers veteran Jared Dudley, LeBron is the best.

Dudley joined “The Ryen Russillo Podcast” on Wednesday and answered the question most Lakers fans have asked. Who would win in a one-on-one game between LeBron and Davis? Dudley is convinced that LeBron would get things done.

“I’m gonna go LeBron,” Dudley said. “I’m gonna go LeBron in the sense of his 3-ball to build space out and when he goes one way, you got to understand man, when defenses are playing against him they are so loaded to the basketball. Anthony Davis is phenomenal, I just feel like LeBron would will his way in.”

The veteran didn’t deny Davis power on the floor, but he prefers LeBron and his style. But, after delivering his answer, Dudley started to question his response. This questioning helped him confirm his original pick. It’s LeBron.

“I don’t know if that’s true,” he said of his prediction. “You asked me to pick one and if I’m picking I pick LeBron. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be close. I’m not saying Anthony Davis can’t beat him. You asked me to pick.”

Jared Dudley should focus on the bigger picture

LeBron has a high basketball IQ and versatility. Davis has the right size and natural skills. Imagine this one-on-one game between these two players. They are the best players in the league, and it would be a game between giants. Pretty much every NBA fan would watch this game. LeBron is the king, and Davis has enough skills to challenge him.

Is Dudley able to bring these two on the field? Will they agree to play a match of this kind?

At the moment, LeBron and Davis are trying to help the team win a title. That’s all. They won’t be interested in challenging each other.

The Lakers need this title because they haven’t won one since Kobe Bryant’s retirement.

Let’s be honest. Los Angeles has a bunch of talented players on the roster, and each of them needs title. This will be a long season full of challenges, and we do hope that LA will get the title. LeBron joined the Lakers to win his next title and we know him. He won’t give up without getting it.
