Shaquille O’Neal’s Son Reveals Kobe Bryant Reached Out To Him On IG Hours Before Death

The death of Kobe Bryant shocked the world, and the basketball world grieves the unexpected loss. The Lakers legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were accompanied by seven other people. There are no survivors, and the firefighters had to walk to the scene. Shaquille O’Neal shared an emotional message for his brother, and his son, Shareef, revealed that Bryant had reached out to him on Instagram Sunday morning. This happened hours before his helicopter crashed.

O’Neal and Bryant were really close, and his son loved the legend. O’Neal received a notification from the Black Mamba, just to check in on what he was doing. His life ended hours later.

Shareef and Bryant were close, considering he and his dad were playing with the dominant Lakers. Even after they were no longer teammates, the families remained close together. The Bryants and O’Neals liked spending time together.

“Kobe was so much more than an athlete, he was a family man,” Shaq wrote on Twitter. “That was what we had most in common. I would hug his children like they were my own and he would embrace my kids like they were his. His baby girl Gigi was born on the same day as my youngest daughter Me’Arah.”

Shaquille and his son spoke in the name of every fan

The basketball world struggles to accept the fact that Bryant won’t be around anymore. The death of his girl made everything worse. She was so young and full of life. Gianna was following her dad’s footsteps, and Bryant was really proud of her achievement. Unfortunately, we won’t get the opportunity to admire her incredible career.

Numerous athletes delivered messages of love and support for Vanessa and the kids. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, wideout Julian Edelman, retired tight end Rob Gronkowski and many others wrote emotional posts following Bryant’s death.

Roc Divers had a hard time accepting Bryant’s death. He was an important person in the world of basketball and everyone respected him. Bryant inspired many athletes and young players looked up to him. His legacy will be continued, and NBA fans will keep doing the “Kobe” shot. Rest in peace, great man. You will always be remembered.
