Report: Agents Complain About Players Needing LeBron James’ Approval To Join Lakers

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka revealed that he had consulted LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the potential roster moves this summer. Some agents got pretty angry, and they complained about this.

Let’s be honest. LeBron is the most important player in the Lakers organization, and he is having a huge role at the moment. The front office counts on his ability to win a title. You can’t ignore the fact that LeBron is a basketball genius. Yes, Pelinka really needed to ask him about this year’s roster. The game revolves around LeBron and the Lakers gave him the players he needs to win games. Truth is, they did an amazing job, and the Lakers won 16 games. Last year their game was complete failure. LeBron was injured and he was surrounded with a bunch of young players who couldn’t build chemistry or bond on the floor.

We believe that these agents didn’t present their opinion well enough. Maybe their players were good enough to fit in the Lakers roster. LeBron and his team don’t owe anything to these agents and their players.

Agents made a wrong point

What about Carmelo Anthony? LeBron wanted him on the roster, but the Lakers didn’t want him at all. They will find the best winning formula, and hopefully LeBron and Davis will keep playing at high level. They make the best duo in the NBA, and it’s more than obvious that they needed a few great players to fit in the formula.

Pelinka did an amazing job, and that’s the only thing that matters at the moment. He built a roster around LeBron and Davis, and it was success. Signing Davis was a tough task, and the Lakers had to give up half of their young players. Brandon Ingram is out. Lonzo Ball is out. They had to go. Adding Davis was a brilliant decision, and LeBron supported it. He wanted to play with Davis because he could easily predict a successful season

Los Angeles is closer to the playoffs, and it will be a long season worth watching. Keep up the good job, King James! Lakers fans trust you.
