Everyone Made This Same Joke After Patriots’ Loss To Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs left Gillette Stadium with a win. The 23-16 result came after a few controversial calls. New England lost the second consecutive game, and Tom Brady will play three easy games. The tough stretch of contests is over. New England plays the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, and this was just enough for everyone to make the “on to Cincinnati” joke.

If you don’t remember, head coach Bill Belichick used the phrase in 2014, after the team’s Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots responded with a 26-point win over the Bengals the following week and lost only two games on their way to the Super Bowl XLIX title.

Brady and his teammates will try to make a similar statement on Sunday when they play at Paul Brown Stadium in the final road game of the regular season.

Cincinnati isn’t in the mood for a joke

But, before they play the Bengals, they have to solve the problem Cincinnati made. According to several sources, the Bengals got really mad after spotting a Patriots production cameraman on the field in Cleveland. Apparently, the Patriots sent their production team to shoot segments of the game for the web series.

The Cleveland Browns knew about this, and the Patriots had permission to make a video. But the Bengals and the National Football League didn’t know anything about this. The league decided to open an investigation into the case.

Head coach Bill Belichick discussed the incident during his regular appearance on WEEI. He said the players are in no way related to the production department, and they only see the material that’s released on TV. Belichick denied any connection to this problem, and we understand his need to explain the situation. In 2007, Belichick was fined with $500K, and the team was fined with $250. New England also lost a first-round pick of the 2008 NFL Draft.

Filming the sideline of an upcoming opponent is banned, and Belichick knows it best. The team released a statement, suggesting that the cameraman was probably unaware of the rules, and he was just doing his job. Will this affect the upcoming game?
