Report: Tom Brady Got Injured During Patriots-Chiefs Matchup

The New England Patriots played the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium, and quarterback Tom Brady got injured. The quarterback wore a large ice pack on his throwing elbow during the post-game press conference. According to the quarterback, there’s no reason to worry. But, it was awkward seeing Brady wrapped up like a pitcher who had just finished a start.

“I just got hit right on my elbow,” TB12 said. “It’s fine. It’ll probably be on the injury report, but I’ll be there next Sunday.”

An elbow injury already turned Brady into a limited participant in each of the previous three weeks. The GOAT was pressured throughout Sunday’s game, taking three sacks and absorbing six QB hits.

Third-string center James Ferentz replaced Ted Karras and struggled in pass protection against Chiefs star defensive tackle Chris Jones. The Patriots’ offense struggled again.

Injured Brady to play three more games

After wide receiver Julian Edelman scored a touchdown on the opening possession, New England found the end zone just once the rest of the way, and that happened after a blocked punt that set them up at the Chiefs’ 19-yard line.

Brady’s team went 1-for-3 in the red zone and 2-for-12 on third down. The team played really bad in both of those areas in the regular season. Wideout Edelman accounted for 95 of TB12’s 169 passing yards.

This was a second straight loss for the Patriots and third in their last five games. The team is now 10-3 at the regular season, and they are one game ahead of Kansas City in the AFC standings and one ahead of the Buffalo Bills in the race for the AFC East title.

If the Patriots want to earn more home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs, the Baltimore Ravens will have to lose at least two of the final three games. The Patriots hold the conference’s No. 2 seed with this record. They will close the regular season with a road game against the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday. This match will be followed by home games against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.

“We’ve just got to go out and try to play better and try to win next week’s game,” Brady said. “Disappointing, but not going to feel sorry for ourselves. Try to go back to work and do a better job.”
