Tom Brady Was a Merrill Lynch Intern in the ‘90s – His Boss Reveals What Was He Like

Tom Brady is the greatest of all times, but in the 90s, he was Merrill Lynch intern in Ann Arbor. The 21-year-ld University of Michigan student enjoyed his summer internship in his own way. Oliver Owens was Brady’s boss at the time. The 64-year-old shared an incredible story of Brady, and they had some really great time together.

Owens remembers Brady as one of the best interns ever.

“He was absolutely polite to everyone, always had a ‘good morning’ for everyone,” he said. ″[He] worked hard, did what he was asked to do [and] liked to be busy.”

TB12 interned in the office his junior and senior summers in the ‘90s. Owens explained that the market was hitting record highs at that point, and some of the financial advisors in the office didn’t work really hard in the summer. Brady didn’t like any of this.

“One day, I remember him kind of throwing up his arms and saying, ‘Doesn’t anyone do any work around here?!’” Owens said.

According to Brady’s former boss, the GOAT didn’t want to sit around and he wanted to learn everything about the job. When he complained he didn’t have anything to do, Owens asked him to update the phone numbers and addresses in his Rolodex.

“I still have it today sitting on my desk,” Owen says. ”[It] gives me a chuckle when I think about it and it’s a helluva conversation piece when a football fan/client comes into my office,” Owens said.

Today, he is the vice president at UBS.

Brady is doing just fine, but he isn’t that busy at the moment. His New England Patriots were eliminated from the playoff race, and Brady has enough time to get ready for the upcoming season. Well, we do hope he returns for another season with the Patriots. Brady wrote a lengthy Instagram post about his season and all the support he enjoyed recently, but he has yet to confirm whether the Patriots are still an option for 2020. His future plans are the hottest topic these days, and everyone wants to know more about Brady and his career.
