Robert Kraft Weighs In On Tom Brady During Hollywood Oscar Bash

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is making headlines with his offseason move. In January, team owner Robert Kraft said he wants Brady to remain in New England. “I love the young man like he’s part of my family,” he said. During the Oscar bash in Hollywood, Robert Kraft talked about his star quarterback. He doubled down on the sentiment.

On the red carpet at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party, the Patriots owner made a few similar comments. When asked if TB12 will stay or go when his contract ends in March, Kraft said, “You know what I want.”

If his team and the GOAT don’t reach an agreement for a new deal by March 17, his current deal will be void. On March 18, Brady will be able to negotiate with another team.

The Patriots owner looked really elegant in a black suit. The 78-year-old completed the outfit with black glitter Nike sneakers. He was accompanied by Dana Blumberg. His girlfriend wore a long Alexander McQueen gown.

Robert Kraft enjoyed the Oscar event

Kraft is a regular attendant of John’s annual Oscar party fundraiser. He is doing his best to support the singer who won an Oscar for “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again.” John co-wrote this song with lyricist Bernie Taupin for the film “Rocketman.”

The movie is a biopic about Elton John’s personal life and career. It made $200 million at the box office. Taron Egerton plays John. Jamie Bell stars as Taupin.

“I’ve been friends with Elton since I bought the [former Foxboro Stadium] out of bankruptcy back in the ’80s,” Kraft said. “He did the first concert there in 1988 and that’s when we became friends.” The Patriots owner also added that John is a “huge Patriots fan.”

Kraft had his fingers crossed that his friend would win the “best song” category. He actually won, and this is the first Oscar win for Taupin. He’s been John’s writing partner for over 50 years.

The annual gala raised more than $6.4 million on Sunday, helping the global effort to end AIDS. It was a big night for everyone, and Kraft enjoyed the gala.
